PHYSICAL AFFECTION: When she's being Shisui, she is sooooo physically affectionate, especially with people she's close to. She will grab your arm, ruffle your hair, tackle you into hugs and is generally very tactile and willing to give affection. When she has to be Loulan, she forces herself to be aloof but in general is a very affectionate person!  

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Doesn't really resort to it and would prefer to defuse the situation peacefully, but is extremely tolerant to pain and won't get knocked down easily. Violence isn't something I'd like to inflict on her casually though, since she's an abuse survivor, so discuss it with me first please!

RELATIONSHIPS: Not really looking for one at the moment! Just looking for gen interactions for her, nothing shippy.

PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Shisui's canon doesn't contain any magic, so her mind is completely open to being read

MEDICAL INFORMATION: She's a generally in shape 18 year old but (HC) due to being shot in the arm and falling off a fortress roof and being that she didn't receive proper medical care after it, her right arm constantly shaky. She is also red-green colourblind, more specifically implied to be protanopia (red weak to red blind— she struggles to see and distinguish the colour red)

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: She's able to take most things in stride, but certain triggers mostly related to child abuse as well as pregnancy will hit hard for her, but this will mostly show up in her own internal monologue and will be appropriately tagged!

CONTENT WARNINGS: Shisui's storyline canonically deals with: parental child abuse (physical and emotional), child neglect, forced marriage, mentions of forced pregnancy (does not actually occur but is a very present threat and a sensitive subject for her), gun violence, arson, what I would reasonably call a suicide attempt, child murder (by a parent/parental figure - is prevented but is a huge fear for her), child exploitation. There is also government sanctioned slavery/slave trade, pedophilia, misogyny that is part of the canon setting related backstory that is basically baked into and shaped a lot of lives in the time the story takes place so while it won't be really be mentioned in Shisui's threads, there's a possibility of it coming up due to how deeply that history affected her world and family.

She also loves insects a huge deal (depending on thread, insect plagues could be mentioned).

A lot of this will not be directly referenced apart from her internal monologue but definitely does affect her character and things like child abuse and neglect are completely unavoidable. Depending on the AU, some of these could change/worsen but will be there regardless. FIRST IMPRESSIONS

VISUAL: Shisui is a teenage girl of average height (5’4) from not-Imperial China. Her plum coloured hair is usually in two bow tie pigtails. She has dark, olive green eyes with flecks of yellow and is reasonably beautiful. As Loulan, she dresses in fashionable clothing intended for nobility, her hair bristling with golden hairsticks and face covered in heavy makeup, to the point she looks virtually unrecognisable. As Shisui, she wears servant's clothing, often a orange-green uniform. Sometimes, the way her hair is done makes her look like she has tanuki ears. Post-canon, her hair will be styled half up and half down, with a bun keeping her hair away from her face. She'll be dressed in red and orange outfit with a black shawl.

AURAL: Shisui speaks in a higher pitched, cheerful and mischievous tone of voice, perpetually sounding like shes about to tell a joke. As Loulan, she has a flatter effect with no emotion in her voice. VA: Asami Seto.

OLFACTORY: As Shisui, she smells oddly pleasant, but with the scent of dirt and grass clinging to her. As Loulan, she smells like fragrant incense, but nothing that would get too in your face.

DEMEANOUR: At first, Shisui comes off as an incredibly friendly, playful girl, who is obsessed with bugs and incredibly easy to become friends with. As Loulan, she acts the complete opposite, aloof and disinterested, though this is only a mask borne out of self preservation. Her true personality is how she acts as Shisui. She tries her hardest to hide or deflect from her problems, often speaking about them in metaphors or being incredibly nonchalant about them, though this only happens in certain scenarios. She has a constant smile on her face, even when speaking about things that would make anyone else balk. Under her masks, she's whip smart, is talented at trickery and acting and extremely cunning.

PERSONALITY: At her core, Shisui is an incredibly kind, bug loving girl. She is very skilled at drawing insects and a good dancer. She has a friendly and cheerful attitude, the kind of person who's easy to become friends with. She's constantly trying to make others happy, spending years acting as her mother's puppet doll in hopes that it would keep her safe from Shenmei's abuse while making her mother happy. She is talented at disguise and deception, easily able to lie even though she doesn't particularly want to. She's smart and very cunning, with the ability to make long running and detailed plans, being likened to a tanuki and a vixen in canon.

She loves her sister (Suirei), the Shi clan children and her friends with her whole heart, willing to sacrifice her life for a chance to make sure they are safe. She abhors the idea of becoming a mother and is fearful of becoming exactly like her own mother, continuously taking abortifacients to make sure she's never pregnant. She has a certain apathy for her own life, while not suicidal, in the sense of "ah this is what I get for taking so long/failing" and never places it above the people she loves.

She tends to have a constant smile on her face, even when speaking of things that would make anyone else balk, especially about the trauma in her own life. She's a kind of person with a sort of unavoidable presence, textually stated as "It wouldn't be odd to describe her as a beauty who could bring a nation to ruin. Not her appearance, but there was a quality to her that ordinary people didn't have.".  She WILL sit you down and infodump about new bugs she's found. You can usually find her in forested areas, hopping around with a cage trying to catch bugs.

HEADCANON: Shisui experiences hand tremors and chronic pain in her right hand post-canon, due to getting shot in the arm and getting patched up later with basic field medicine, with little in way of proper disinfectant or stitches while on the run.
